Emmet County residents who are registered Democrats may attend in one of two ways:
First Option: Virtual (Zoom)
Participating virtually through Zoom is our recommended option.
If possible, we recommend participating in the Off-Year Caucus and Organizational Meeting through Zoom, using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. (You may also attend through your phone, without video.)

Second Option: In-Person (Estherville VFW)
If you don't have a computer, tablet, or smartphone, you may participate in the Off-Year Caucus and Organizational Meeting at the Estherville VFW, where we will provide a display, camera, and microphone.
This option is provided for participants who do not have a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

The Emmet County Democrats are hosting Get Out the Early Vote Bike/Walk/Listen Forum on Saturday, October 3, 2020, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Sprugin Park, South 15th Street and 7th Avenue, Estherville. We will be riding or walking the recently-dedicated Estherville Recreational Trail from 2:00 – 3:30.
At 3:30, Emmet County Democratic Supervisor candidates Todd Glasnapp, Roger Hash and Sarah Morphew and Iowa House District 7 candidate Deb Jensen will speak.
Voter registration and absentee ballot request forms will be available. Emmet County Auditor Amy Sathoff will be available for questions regarding Emmet County election procedures.
Bring Your Own beverage, snack, chair, mask and any all friends.

Thank you to the Estherville Police Department for returning 14 of the missing Biden/Harris signs.
In the past week, the Emmet County Democratic Central Committee had distributed approximately 40 Bidden/Harris campaign-yard signs. As of September 15th, 17 had been stolen. If your Biden/Harris sign has gone missing please call the Estherville Police Department at (712) 362-2639.
Most importantly this is not an excuse to retaliate in any way. Stealing other peoples’ stuff is wrong and will not be condoned.

714.2 Degrees of theft.
3. The theft of property exceeding seven hundred fifty dollars but not exceeding one thousand five hundred dollars in value, or the theft of any property not exceeding five hundred dollars in value by one who has before been twice convicted of theft, is theft in the third degree. Theft in the third degree is an aggravated misdemeanor.
4. The theft of property exceeding three hundred dollars in value but not exceeding seven hundred fifty dollars in value is theft in the fourth degree. Theft in the fourth degree is a serious misdemeanor.
Dear Iowa Democratic Leader,
Today, I am announcing a postponement of County Conventions to a future date to be determined. Attached is the full statement I am sending out.
First, I want to express my gratitude for our conversations over the last week. They were constructive, forward-looking, and showed our resolve to overcome obstacles together.
I cannot express how much I appreciate your patience as we move this process forward. Today and over the weekend, we are continuing our considerations on next steps, which include ongoing consultation with public health experts, legal advisors, and the DNC. We will be as transparent as possible throughout this process and provide updates as soon as possible.
Lastly, as we discussed on the calls last night, the IDP is here to serve as a resource for you through this process. In order to do that in the most efficient way, please review this form to address any of your needs as we work together to ensure a smooth process.
